Details
I usually write with my writing partner Will Cooper. Here are our writing credits.
(In progress) Jesting About 2 – BBC – Writers
Currently writing for a new Entertainment show in its earliest stages.
(In progress) Pub Olympics – BBC Radio 2 – Writers
‘Pub Olympics’ is a panel show recorded in a pub which incorporates its Pub setting and its Olympics content in to several hilarious rounds in which two teams will compete for the Gold medal.
(In progress) Geordinary People (Pilot) – BBC Radio 4 – Writers
We were part of a small team of writers hired to come up with Northern based material for this sketch show pilot. If commissioned it is fully expected that we would be kept on as series writers.
October 2011 – Celebrity Juice – ITV2 – (Contributors)
Contributed several topical jokes to two Keith Lemon’s panel shows and worked alongside head writer of the show, Les Keen.
Show and Tell – E4 (Contributors, one episode)
Show and Tell is a program in production devised by Chris Addison for E4. Each week different comedians go on to do stand up about a subject they feel strongly about. We contributed some jokes to the fifth episode in the series to be used by Chris Addison and it should broadcast later this year.
Mock The Week (Series 10) – BBC 2 – (Contributors)
Comedian Chris Addison is a regularly guest and he commissioned us to create some material he could use on the show. We come up with jokes for the regular features as well as jokes on current events. We’ve had jokes broadcast on every episode so far in the current series.
June 2011 – Dan Shine: Musical Maverick – Podcast
We created our own sitcom style podcast that is available for download on the internet. Each eight minute long episode documents the trials and tribulations of a bad musician trying to make it to the big time. Each episode so far has been recorded at the BBC studio in Newcastle.
February 2011 – Jesting About – BBC Newcastle, BBC Tees – Writers
Jesting About was a scheme championed by Bob Mortimer and Ross Noble which aimed to get people from the North East into a position to get material broadcast. Over 200 applicants applied for the radio branch of the scheme and we made it in to two of the ten coveted spots. After getting help from Bob and Ross we and the team created the thirty minute sketch show which was recorded in front of a live audience. It starred Mark Benton and comedian Gavin Webster and was broadcast last April to a good reception.
